Part one of our planning, offically done today, I went online today to expedia.com and was quite excited to find rooms at Disney's All Star Movie Resort for $64.40!!! Even on Disney's website at a Florida resident rate that are still $30 more. I happend to aquire enough " Thank You" point through expedia to have earned $50 off my booking , So when is all said and done tax, tag, title , out of the door, our weeknd at Disney in a Disney hotel is only costing us $95.51 ( that's $47.75 /night). Amazing!!!
We also participated in the Give A Day, Get A Day program through Disney and our local Hands on Manatee collecting goods for Kitten Kits and Puppy Parcels. So we earned 2 One Day Passes for a Disney park of our choice. Now, when we arrive at Disney we will purchase just one childs ticket for $61.20 + tax.
Woohoo!!
We are putting away extra money leftover from our grocery budget and anywhere else that we know we can save, because we are going to make this an all cash transaction that weekend, that will include NO debit card use. So far, we are on a great track and can't wait to enjoy this weekend and to prove to ourselves that we can do trips by saving where it is needed . This is very liberating for us, and to show our son the purpose of saving. A good life long lesson ( hopefully teaching him how not to go into debt!)
So for anyone looking to go to Disney soon ,even for a mini vacation, check out Expedia they have the best rates going right now. I know because I have been looking for a few months now.
